Tero Lanu (b.1975) studied music theory at Sibelius Academy (Master's degree in 2005) and music theory at Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Bachelor's degree in 2013). His compositions include works for wind band, piano, chamber ensembles and symphony orchestra, the largest being an orchestral suite "Four Impressions" which was premiered in 2018 by Pyynikki Sinfonia. He has been awarded in several Finnish composition contests. His music has been described as romantic, melodic and impressionistic.
