Learn to channel your innate sensuality and body confidence in this workshop, taught by a former stripper and an experienced improv actor Rosaliina Ahvenjärvi. We will focus on stage presence, pacing, and discovering your own personal flavour of spicyness 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ This is a judgement-free space where we can laugh off the awkwardness and safely try out different things in the spirit of improv. There's no nudity in this workshop. Come and challenge yourself – you might find something unexpected! Teacher Description Rosaliina Ahvenjärvi is an experienced improviser currently performing as a member of the musical improv theater Sointi, based in Helsinki. Previously, she has toured stages with the Turkuan improv group Läsnäolopakko. She holds a degree in community education and has been teaching improv at festivals (e.g. Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs -festivaali) and other occasions. Her unique background includes 3 years of working as a stripper and organizing her own queer-feminist pop-up strip club Club Hävytön. Sometimes we as improvisers limit our options on stage when actually we'd be better off doing the exact opposite! A broader horizon gives us freedom to play, to choose, what we actually want - not what we feel should happen next. So let's say no to THE NEUTRAL ZONE and make stuff actually happen on stage! In this workshop we practise a mentality of always making conscious choices that delight us, and being the active creators of our scene. Neutral luke-warm choices rarely inspire anyone in the scene, so let's find out what makes you tick and start making some radical choices! Let no improviser ever again get stuck in THE NEUTRAL ZONE! Teacher Description Auri has been improvising for nearly 15 years, first in the troupes Impropaatti and Ässiä hatusta, then in Östermyran koulukunta. Currently Auri can be seen improvising with the twoprov team Duo Lämpimämpi, and they also work as a musician/accompanist at Impro Helsinki. Auri has graduated from iO Chicago and has performed improv shows at international improv festivals in, Amsterdam, Athens, Nottingham, Oslo and Valencia. Auri is as comfortable improvising as a musician as they are on stage, and these two often blend together in the way they like to play. Auri has taught acting and improvisation workshops for community theatres all around, and works as a drama teacher in their dayjob. Product description Come practice how to lose all inhibitions and go crazy, play with wild energy and get into a manic zone. We will be doing exercises that focus on making fast, crazy and physical choices with no basis in rationality. Teacher Description I'm Emppu. I've been doing improv for about 15 years and I'm currently getting a degree as a Drama Instructor/Teacher at the Turku Art Academy. Currently I'm performing a lot of long form, freeform and musical improv with both Ökö Impro and Terttu & Helmeri. I've taught improv for the whole time as well. Our group, Ökö Impro, actually won the 2026 Cultural Award in Hämeenlinna for our long form performances. Our group formed and practiced without any teachers or "formal training" from the outside world, so we have developed a very different style of improvisation, which is particularly quick and intense.
