We will be doing exercises that focus on making fast, crazy and physical choices with no basis in rationality.

Teacher Description

I'm Emppu. I've been doing improv for about 15 years and I'm currently getting a degree as a Drama Instructor/Teacher at the Turku Art Academy. Currently I'm performing a lot of long form, freeform and musical improv with both Ökö Impro and Terttu & Helmeri. I've taught improv for the whole time as well. Our group, Ökö Impro, actually won the 2026 Cultural Award in Hämeenlinna for our long form performances.

Our group formed and practiced without any teachers or "formal training" from the outside world, so we have developed a very different style of improvisation, which is particularly quick and intense.

The event can be cancelled in case of a low turn out. Refunds will be offered only if the workshop is cancelled.

Age Limit

The course is limited to participants aged 18 and above. By registering, participants confirm that they meet the minimum age requirement.

Experience requirement

The workshop is intended for people with at least intermediate level of experience in improv.
