Janne Lauanne, CEO and one of the founders of WeBuust has given the lectures that you will have access to, in the WeBuust Entrepreneurship and Business Education lecture series.
Janne is an international entrepreneur with extensive leadership experience in both private and corporate environments. He is an inspiring leader with proven skills in strategic planning, strategy execution, innovation, business development and delivering results. An analytical yet creative mind, Janne is able to see through the noise to quickly identify patterns and latent opportunities, and to develop innovative, unique strategies to capitalise on those opportunities. With these skills Janne is able to add significant value to aspiring entrepreneurs’ planning and their businesses.

In the delivery of the course, we use practical examples from our own experience and what we have learnt in the academia, such as at Oxford University, SaĂŻd Business School and at the MIT, to cover all key areas of business every entrepreneur should have knowledge of.
More on Janne's Background:
Janne joined a Finland based startup, Videra LLC, straight out of school as BBA. Following a successful start, he was invited to join the leadership as a co-owner and essentially rewrote the business model and the strategy of the company, becoming an entrepreneurial figure and eventually a substantial shareholder.
Janne went on to deliver year-on-year growth of 30+ %, for over 10 consecutive years, personally opening multiple international markets and developing two new strategic services that came to account for over 20 % of the company’s revenue in 2 years’ time and over 80 % in 10 years’ time.
He managed multiple competitive acquisitions and was instrumental in finally selling the Videra business at 40x growth to a publicly traded large corporation, Elisa Group, allowing Videra owners to take a lucrative exit. Janne worked for 4 years with Elisa, integrating the business into the corporation with the Videra team. Today, Videra continues as a global leader in its field.
After the sale of business, Janne acted as advisor to Venture Capital in new business development and international Joint Ventures. After co-founding WeBuust and a brief spell of acting as co-CEO, Janne currently serves as CEO and a board member of WeBuust. He has done a number of private investments in EMEA, North America and Asia into early-stage companies and real estate.
Janne graduated from Oxford University with a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Strategy in 2018 (Distinction), which covered corporate finance and corporate valuation, M&A, and strategy. He has also obtained an MIT Fintech Certificate in 2016, a Sustainable Finance certificate from Erasmus University in 2021, and holds a BBA from Oulu Polytechnic (2003).
