Lato-senkki korostaa kierrätyspuun kauneutta selkeillä geometrisilla linjoilla. Mustasta MDF:stä valmistetut ylä- ja alalevyt kehystävät vanhan puun pintaa, ja pyöristetyt kulmat sekä pitkät jalat tuovat kalusteeseen keveyttä. Puun pinta kertoo sen aiemmasta elämästä rakennusmateriaalina. Materiaali on peräisin suomalaisista vanhoista maatiloista, ladoista ja muista käytöstä poistetuista rakennuksista. Jokainen lauta on yksilöllinen: naarmut, kolot ja Suomen vaihtelevien vuodenaikojen jättämät jäljet on säilytetty. Pinta on vain kevyesti harjattu ja viimeistelty luonnonöljyllä ja -vahalla. Senkki soveltuu monipuolisesti säilytyskalusteeksi, tilanjakajaksi tai esineiden esillepanoon. Lato sideboard highlights the beauty of the recycled wood with clear geometrical lines and a framing through bottom- and top boards out of black mdf. Rounded corners and the long legs are bringing lightness to the closed surfaces of Lato. The surface of the old wood shows it’s character and lifetime from it’s former function as a building. It comes from old, abandoned buildings such as old farms, sheds etc. located in Finland. Each board is unique, scratches, holes and treated by the different seasons of the Finnish weather. All these marks are kept, just gentle brushed and sealed by natural oil and wax. The use of the sideboard is very versatile, as space divider, to showcase objects or as a storage space.
