The Finnish Nut Tree Society (Suomen Pähkinäseura / Nötsällskapet i Finland) is proud to invite you to Finland (Naantali) for a unique Master Class with Linda Grimo from the Grimo Nut Nursery (Canada) and local experts of The Finnish Nut Tree Society. The Master Class includes a lecture about the breeding work done at Grimo’s and experiences in cold/cool temperate climate nut growing in general. The participants have a chance to ask questions and seek direct advice for their own cases and situations. We also offer a compiled reading list & list of online videos for the participants. The Master Class is a meeting place for northern nut growers and Grimo customers where we can share experiences on nut growing in the Nordic and Baltic countries. The day includes a field trip to young walnut orchard of 1ha in Livonsaari, Naantali. This site includes grafted cultivars and seedling Juglans regia, also direct seeded plants. Linda Grimo is the executive director of Grimo Nut Nursery and the President of the Society of Ontario Nut Growers. She's continuing the nursery work started by his father Ernie Grimo in 1973. Grimo Nut Nursery is specialized in cold hardy nut plants and is the trusted seed nut supplier of many nut enthusiasts and breeders in the Nordic countries and Baltic states.
