Ninjosanto on perustettu kunnianosoituksena luonnolle ja siitä kumpuavalle innolle ja elinvoimalle.

Tarjoamme päiväretket ja -kurssit sienistä, villiyrteistä sekä ekologiasta. Tule jakamaan luonnosta oppimisen iloa kuin olisit kaverin kanssa metsäkävelyllä.

NInjosanto is based on respect and admiration towards nature and towards joy and vitality it provides.

We offer daily tours and courses of mushrooms, wild herbs and ecology. Come share with us the joy of learning with nature as if you were on a leisure forest walk with a friend.

We guide you in easily accessible local nature sites, in Tampere and Capital region.

    NOTE: This event will be mostly in English, but also Finnish is used if needed. :) Mushrooms are rising up with full power and it is time to get to know more of them! Welcome onto a basic course for you who wants to know more about edible mushrooms in Finland and how to recognize, pick and use them. In this field trip you´ll learn more about the delicious culinary treasures of the nearby forests and your mushroom-hawk-eye will definitely sharpen. Expect to be surprised how exotic mushrooms of the forest can be! We will focus on edible mushrooms and their look-a-likes and to the ones you should be aware of: the toxic species. From the trip you will get: Principles of safe mushroom picking Edible mushrooms to take home You will learn to use your senses in a variety of ways to identify mushrooms An expert guide on your tour so you also won't get lost in the forest Strengthened nature connection in the autumn forest PRICING: I wish that everyone can come and that I also get some monetary compensation. Pitkäahteen metsä forest is a diverse forest, enlivened by streams and rocks, included in the important sites of the Forest Act, which, nestled between Hervanta and Lukonmäki, offers the magic of forest and mushrooms! On the trip, you will learn the basics of mushroom knowledge and safe collection. You will learn to use your senses in a variety of ways to identify mushrooms. Meeting point: Yrjöläntie, next to Lystihuoneenpuisto After the tour, I organize one hour wild herb foraging walk (17.30-18.30) at the meadow close by. Mushroom knife, mushroom basket and mushroom book, if available. You can borrow a few mushroom baskets and knives from me. Let me know in advance if you want to borrow one. A cardboard bag is also a convenient way to transport the edible mushrooms home. Note-taking tools and a camera can help you record your learnings on site. Bring a water bottle and snacks.     Come to a walk that makes your inner forager more skillful! Lystihuoneenpuisto next to Kaukajärvi is a fertile meadow with many interesting herbs to collect. * You can save with food expenses. * Know how to use wild plants in your everyday life for tea, food and medicine. * Enjoy connecting with other like-minded participants and bigger-than-human-nature. During the walk you get to know at least 5 edible wild plants and something about their properties, like st. johns wort, yarrow, nettle, valeriana, comfrey etc. You also get to know look-alike species. I also introduce you to the principles of safe and confident wild herb foraging. With those principles you can see whether the place is safe for wild herb picking, whether it is a good time to pick and what are we allowed to pick and what not.
