Stand up comedy in English in Joensuu? Oh yeah, we've got you covered! You're more than welcome to join the English stand up night on the 13th of August (Wednesday) in Mayhem night club (Koskikatu 5). The first English Stand Up Nights have all gathered dozens of comedy fans and first timers alike to enjoy the night. The audience and comedians had a blast laughing for two full hours every time! 💃🌟🎤 You don't want to miss this event, as it is the best (and only 😏) comedy club in Joensuu where you get to hear stand up comedy in English language 😅

The English nights are open mic club nights, which means that the comedians build up and practice new jokes or get up on the stage for the first time. The venue is a pub / night club and fits approximately 60 people in the audience. There is a small discount if you buy tickets from the webshop in advance (9€). The tickets go at 11 € when bought at the venue.

MC Steph Clark - Steph is a British comedian based in Helsinki. She became trapped in Finland during the pandemic and enjoyed being ignored by her neighbours so much that she decided to stay.

Valtteri Valtonen - Valtteri Valtonen is a mysterious comedian from Lappeenranta making his debut in English. Valtteri brings you strange discoveries from the world of language: what he’s learned, what he’s misunderstood, and what definitely wasn’t in the dictionary.

Tuukka Holopainen - This is Tuukka Holopainen. His home is where his show is. According to his girlfriend he is nice. Both Tuukka and his jokes are easy to approach, but some say they are better left alone. So why don't you come and find out yourself who is right!

Cosmin Porusniuc - Cosmin moved to Joensuu in 2019 for his Master’s studies, and somehow this city and the people here convinced me to stay (at least for a while). His day-to-day work revolves around building cool robots that do cool stuff (and will definitely NOT steal your job in the future.. 😃). In his jokes he is trying to mix his experiences and observations from living as a Romanian in Finland with my work in robotics and other themes like politics and music.

Jan Sustersic - Studying for an engineering degree in ICT wasn't funny enough, so he decided to try his hand at stand up comedy.

Joona Kotilainen - Joona is a trivia nerd trapped in the body of a nearly two-meter-tall basketball player. His comedy starts with facts but quickly takes a swan dive into the absurd. Despite his lanky frame’s stiff body language, his storytelling flows effortlessly, delivering perfectly timed, nerdy laughs.
