The frost has withered the wild herbs and flowers of our meadows and forests. For the winter, we herbalists have carefully dried and preserved the plants in jars, from which they give us strength and relaxation during the most mystical season of the year. The absolute therapeutic way to use dried wild herbs is in herbal teas, but you can also use them in DIY natural cosmetics – for example, lotions, lip balms, bath salts, clay masks, and hair sprays. There is no better way to pamper your skin against harsh weather than cherishing it with the enchanting herbs of our remarkable nature. Winter plays a crucial role in making our plants so powerful both in nutrients and magical traits. The extreme frosts beat plant diseases and pests, clear the waters and freshen the air. We herbalists believe that all the answers to our holistic well-being can be found in our nearby nature. In the Magical Herbs & DIY Cosmetics workshop, you will learn to make DIY cosmetics of the most fragrant, serene, stimulating, aesthetic, ethereal, and magical plants of our northern nature. You’ll get to know the intriguing history of our plants, how they have been used in Finnish folklore, and the magical powers our plants are known to carry. We feel that winter is the best time to learn more about the captivating world of edible and nurturing nature so that when spring arrives, the snow melts, and the first wild herbs pop up from the soil, we are relaxed, charged, and ready to start foraging. You will make five products of the magical herbs and flowers that resonate with you the most after you have first learned all about their special features and fascinating ways in which to use them: Healing balm, lip balm, or lotion Bath salt Hair spray or face mist Clay mask Smoke cleansing bundle The 15 magical herbs you’ll gain knowledge about are: Birch Chamomile Cornflower Dandelion Field horsetail Fireweed Heather Lady’s mantle Lavender Marigold Meadowsweet Mint Nettle Raspberry Yarrow After the workshop, we’ll send you an e-book to your email address including knowledge about these 15 magical herbs, foraging and preserving tips, and DIY cosmetics recipes.
