During the lessons we speak as much as possible with support material and we are focusing of spoken Finnish. I will keep the group small (maximum 6 persons) to get everybody the chance to participate a lot.

Content: In this course, you will learn to discuss everyday topics such as household tasks, professions, traveling, scheduling doctor's appointments, and making hotel reservations. The course will have a maximum of 6 students, and during the sessions, we will speak a lot. Before each lesson, you will receive material to help you prepare for the class. The goal of the course is to improve your spoken Finnish, expand your vocabulary, and prepare for the speaking section of the Yki test. In class, we also practice completing the speaking section of the YKI tasks.

Time: January 27- March 31 at 3pm.-4pm. Content: In this course, you will learn to talk about everyday topics, such as describing appearance and feelings, talking about the kind of home you live in, ordering at a restaurant, shopping for clothes and talking about hobbies. We will cover different topics, dedicating two sessions to each topic. Before each topic, you will receive supplementary materials, which include various online games and videos to help you practice vocabulary. For each topic, we will use the first session to talk about the topic through various exercises, and during the second session, we will practice tasks similar to those in the intermediate level speaking subtest of the YKI test. During all of the lessons we speak as much as possible with support material. This will prepare you towards the Yki test speaking part, the topics we will practice are also used in the Yki-test. The goal for the course is that through speaking you will learn a lot of new words to wider your vocabulary, discuss the topics, react and express opinions.
