LA 29.8. klo 10:30-12 Character workshop with Dairy King Join drag king and neo-burlesque performer Dairy King for a workshop where we will explore how to create a character. Drawing on his training with renowned clown Philippe Gaulier, this workshop focuses on how we can discover what is funny, alive and surprising. Perfection is not expected nor desired. We will have fun to fail together!

Open to all experience levels, the workshop welcomes complete beginners, seasoned performers, and anyone curious about exploring character through play.

Together we'll explore:

• Character creation and development

• Pphysicality and movement

• Major and minor

• Building confidence with improvisation

• Finding your pleasure to be onstage

• How to prepare

Whether you already have a character you'd like to get to know better, a brand-new idea you'd like to explore, or absolutely no idea where to even start, you're very welcome.

If possible, please bring costume – anything from a full outfit to a single item or prop to help you transform yourself. If you don't yet know who your character is, spend some time before the workshop in a charity shop, or see what’s at the back of your wardrobe. Look for something that catches your eye and allow yourself to dream around it. You don't need a finished character – just the beginning.

Please also bring:

• Comfortable clothes you can move in

• A bottle of water

• A notebook and pen (optional)

This workshop aims to create a supportive, playful, and adventurous space where participants can experiment freely, take risks, and perhaps discover something -or someone- they didn't know was there before!
