Observation Drawing Basics is a gentle introduction to learning how to see like an artist. In this session, we draw from simple still lifes, everyday objects carefully arranged in the studio and learn how to translate what we see onto paper with clarity and confidence.
We take things slowly and without pressure: noticing basic shapes, understanding light and shadow, and learning how forms sit in space. The focus is on training your eye to observe more clearly and your hand to respond with intention.
No previous drawing experience is needed. This class is beginner-friendly and guided step by step, with personal feedback throughout.
You’ll learn how to: Break down objects into simple shapes and proportions Observe light and shadow to create a sense of form Draw what you actually see, instead of guessing Make calm, confident, and intentional marks
Duration: 1.5 hours Materials: All materials provided. Location: Meritullinkatu 33
This session is intentionally priced to keep drawing accessible and to encourage making art by hand, slowly and attentively.
