Psykedeelisen sivistyksen liitto toivottaa sinut tervetulleeksi viettämään yhdessä polkupyöräpäivää!

Järjestämme Myllypuron metroaseman tuntumassa sijaitsevan Kulttuurimyllyn Pegasos-salissa (Jauhokuja 3 A1/C) keskiviikkona 19.4. klo 18:30–21 avoimen open mic -illan, jossa jokaisella on tilaisuus jakaa, kuulla ja käsitellä arkitajuntaa mullistavia elämänkokemuksiaan.

LSD:n kehittäneen kemisti Albert Hofmannin legendaarisesta polkupyörämatkasta 19.4.1943 tulee kuluneeksi 80 vuotta. Tuolloin Hofmann nautti ensimmäisenä ihmisenä tietoisesti LSD:tä, tuli tajusteesta huonovointiseksi ja lähti pyöräilemään kotiinsa. Tämä reitiltään tuiki tavallinen mutta kokemuksena tajunnanräjäyttävä pyörämatka on osa länsimaisen psykedeelikulttuurin historiaa, joka on ikuistettu lukuisiin kertomuksiin ja blotteritaiteeseen.

Polkupyöräpäivän psykedeelitarinoita -illan teemana on LSD-trippailun vuosipäivän mukaisesti "ensimmäinen deelikokemukseni". Mitä tapahtui, kun ensimmäistä kertaa tajustit? Sulivatko olevan rajat, koitko synestesiaa, kohtasitko synkkiä ajatuksia tai sanojen järjettömyyttä? Nauroitko kaiken kauneudelle tai tuliko totuuskäsitykseesi tolkkua?

Open mic -tapahtumamme tarjoaa mahdollisuuden jakaa ja kuulla tarinoita ihanista ja kamalista ensimmäisistä kerroista. Mikä tahansa psykedeeliseksi kutsumasi kokemus on enemmän kuin tervetullut kerrottavaksi. Selittämättömiä elämyksiä voi ilmentää esimerkiksi runoilla, päiväkirjamerkinnöillä, trippiraporteilla, vapaalla ääneen muisteluilla tai lauluilla. Myös kieli on vapaa. Rennolle oleskelulle on myös varattu aikaa.

Vähintään kymmenellä halukkaalla on kullakin n. 5 minuuttia aikaa mikrofonin varressa. Esiintyjäksi ilmoittautuminen tapahtuu lähettämällä sähköpostia otsikolla "PT OPEN MIC" osoitteeseen kasper@kaspersalonen.com. Myös paikan päällä voi tiedustella avomikkipaikkoja.

Tapahtuma on Psykedeelisen sivistyksen liiton tämän vuoden jäsenmaksun maksaneille* maksuton, ja jäsenillä on mahdollisuus tuoda mukanaan maksutta myös yksi avec. Alennuskoodi on lähetetty jäsenille sähköpostitse. Muille hinta on 5 €.

Tapahtuma on päihteetön. Tarjolla on pientä purtavaa, ja omia alkoholittomia eväitä saa tuoda.

Kertomuspiiriä ohjaa ja juontaa runoilija, kääntäjä ja kuvataiteilija Kasper Salonen, joka myös lukee tajuntateemaisia spoken word -runojaan. Illan aikana saa osallistua myös kiertävään surrealistiseen cadavre exquis -runoon.

Bicycle Day's Psychedelic Tales
: a transcendental open mic

The Association for Psychedelic Education and Culture (PSL) invites you to spend a very special Bicycle Day 2023 together!

Welcome to an open mic session and sit-in at the Pegasos-sali in cultural center Kulttuurimylly (Jauhokuja 3 A1/C) right by the Myllypuro metro station on Wednesday 19 April at 6:30 pm–9 pm. Here all psychonauts and other consciousness enthusiasts will get the chance to share and hear tales from the other side, as we gather to listen to each other's psychedelic stories.

The Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann synthesized LSD 80 years ago. On the 19th of April, 1943, he knowingly ingested 250 micrograms of what would come to be known as "acid", and began to feel the effects on his bicycle ride home from work. This journey along his familiar route soon morphed into a mind-blowing trance state, and is now celebrated around the world as the first conscious LSD trip, referenced in innumerable stories and in blotter art.

In honor of this auspicious day, the theme of the Psychedelic Tales event is "my first psychedelic experience". What happened the first time you expanded your consciousness with psychedelics? Did the borders between realities melt away, did you feel synaesthesia, behold dark thoughts, or forget how language works? Did you find yourself at the center of everything, or blissfully adrift in existence?

Psychedelic Tales is an open mic event that gives you the opportunity to recount some of your weirdest experiences to an understanding and curious audience. Any experience you've had that you would consider psychedelic is more than welcome as subject matter.

You can express yourself freely: poems, diary entries, trip reports, free associative reminiscing, and songs are all examples of ways to try to express the so-called inexpressable. All languages are welcome. There will also be plenty of time for free discussion and hanging out.

Each person (at least 10 slots available) will have about 5 minutes to speak their mind into the microphone. Please sign up by sending an email titled "PT OPEN MIC" to kasper@kaspersalonen.com saying you would like to perform. You can also enquire about slots at the venue.

Entrance: 5 €. For everyone who has paid their PSL membership fee for 2023, entry to the event is free of charge – we've sent a discount code to members*. The event is alcohol and drug free. Snacks will be provided, and you're also free to bring your own food and (non-alcoholic) drink.

This night of transcendental sharing and caring will be guided and hosted by poet, artist, and translator Kasper Salonen, who will also perform some of his psycho-cosmic spoken word poetry. All guests are also encouraged to take part in a collective surrealist "cadavre exquis" poem that will circulate throughout the event.
