A voucher for a single 60 min online throat singing lesson.
When you buy my lessons, you will be contacted by me within a few days to schedule your session. When buying 3x lesson packages it is best to space them out by 1-3 weeks in order for you to have time to practice and develop, before diving deeper.
When I contact you about scheduling, I will also send you a simple questionare to get to know you and your needs in order to save some precious time during the online sessions.
I am not a Tuvan Khöömeyzhi, and will never be, but I can guide you on your path and give you valuable tools in becoming a practitioner of Tuvan throat singing. I can save you years of frustration and non-progress with my knowledge that has been cultivated during the 10+ years that I have been a practicing throat singer.
10% of the profit from all the lessons I give, will be directed to the Tuvan culture centre, in Tuva, so that this cultural gem can be passed on to the future generations.
The lessons will be individual lessons, held on Zoom. While a single lesson can be beneficial, I strongly recommend the 3 session packages, as khöömey is an activity that takes time and patience to learn.
"I highly recommend Mikko’s classes! After 2 classes I was able to develop and understand Khoomei. I had personally tried to learn myself for many many months, and was not able to do the technique. Through Mikko’s own experience and professionalism, he guided me effortlessly into finding my voice. I genuinely felt massive improvements after every class, and I owe a lot of my ability I have today to Mikko!
If you are wishing to learn throat singing, then I highly recommend Mikko. He is articulate, patient, and most important of all, he knows how to teach you. To help find how you can learn, and then further guide you on your throat singing journey.
The classes are very safe, and you feel comfortable to express yourself in many weird, strange and very fun ways!"

“Mikko Heikinpoika was helping to lead Tuvan Khoomey lessons during the Sai-Xonash throat singing workshop tour in August 2015 and we recommend him to those who want to learn Tuvan Khoomey as we consider him as an excellent western Khoomey teacher who has brilliant skills in Khoomey and as an artist. He is a wonderful musician with his own style. His methods in teaching Tuvan Khoomey are very efficient and they will help you to make your first steps as well as to develop your skills as an already practicing Khoomey singer.”
-Evgeny Saryglar, People's Khoomeyzhy of the Republic of Tuva, musician of the Tuvan National orchestra-
