The aim is to provide structure, clarity, and practical tools for navigating the audition process in a way that supports both artistic growth and professional readiness. This workbook is based on my experience as: 1) a professional orchestral musician across Europe and in Canada
2) an audition candidate myself (15 professional orchestra auditions out of which I’ve won 9 and reached finals in the rest)
3) a coach working closely with violinists preparing for orchestral auditions Through my work with students and already among my peers way back when we were about to graduate, I have seen that one of the biggest gaps in music education is not artistic ability but the lack of structured preparation for entering the profession.
This workbook is designed to bridge that gap and to make some of this often unspoken knowledge more accessible and practical.
