Sexualitet och intimitet kan var för sig leda tankarna till både väldigt lika och väldigt olika saker, vilket avspeglas i numret. Den som hoppas på explicita sexskildringar kommer inte bli besviken, men inte heller den som vill läsa filosofiska texter om närhet till och genom konst och litteratur. Historia, dejting, bärande och bristande queera gemenskaper, anknytning och relationer är andra infallsvinklar skribenterna valt när de närmat sig tematiken för årets vårnummer.

Astra 1/2022 on Sexuality & Intimacy is here! The theme is a result of our reader survey, where the respondents were asked what themes they would like Astra to cover. We then let our followers on Instagram decide which of all the suggestions from the reader survey they most wanted to see. And this is it!

Sexuality and intimacy can, when they each stand on their own, lead the mind to both very similar and completely different things. This is something you will see reflected in the issue. Those who hope for explicit sex depictions will not be disappointed, but neither will those who wish to read philosophical pieces on closeness to and through art and literature. History, dating, belonging and alienation within queer communities, attachment and relationships are other angles of approach that the writers have chosen.
