RESERVED Payment part 1 * The Swan The Arctic Loon The Common Gull Honey-like nuance of yellow. Spring. Bee-wax cared aspen frame. As I was preparing to the process to make this drum, I joined the Bird Life Finland. Inspiration to know different kinds of birds and their sounds is something I share with my children. The symbolic message of the birds gives further meaning to the lives experience. It is as if my ears have become more present to the birdsongs. I hope this drum is a New Connector. The New Connections can mean new artistry, new combinations of materials, techniques, science, or anything necessary to discover new matches. When you have one thing and you add something completely different to it: This is interesting. Perhaps these birds can help in some mystical way in these new discoveries. I wish for the holder of the BirdLife Drum wonderful new period in life in a way that is ever more closer to the nature, to the bird sounds, and is divinely inspired. I dedicate the virtues of this drum to the nature conservation. Thank you! This drum is made by Helena Karhu, in apprenticeship with the drum master Ari Kuivalainen in Joensuu, North Karelia, Finland. This is a round drum made with aspen tree covered with bee-wax and reindeer from Finland. Beautiful sound. The birds are drawn by pencil and might eventually fade away from the drum. Removable golden-colored stickers. The drum stick is made by pine from North Karelia and with natural Finnish lamb wool.
