Stand up comedy in English in Joensuu? Oh yeah, we've got you covered! You're more than welcome to join the English stand up night on the 18th of February (Wednesday) in Mayhem night club (Koskikatu 5). The first English Stand Up Nights have all gathered hundreds of comedy fans to join the audience and laugh with the comedians. 💃🌟🎤 You don't want to miss this event, as it is the best (and only 😏) comedy club in Joensuu where you get to hear stand up comedy in English language 😅

The English nights are open mic club nights, which means that the comedians build up and practice new jokes or get up on the stage for the first time. The venue is a pub / night club and fits approximately 80 people in the audience. The price to join the show depends on where and when you buy the ticket:

🎫 In advance: 9€ - In advance tickets can be bought in the webshop up until the event day.

🎫 At the door: 12€ - If there are any tickets left, they will be sold at the door for 12€.

MC Nitu Kaur (IND/FIN) - Nitu does comedy in English about life, cultural differences and family.

Steph Clark - Steph is a British comedian based in Helsinki. She became trapped in Finland during the pandemic and enjoyed being ignored by her neighbours so much that she decided to stay.

Janne Hyttinen - Janne is a nice guy, the one that your grandmother would cherish! A person who wouldn't even hurt a fly 🙂

Eppu Tynkkynen - Eppu is a square peg in a round world where bad luck and trouble seem to follow him everywhere. In his comedy Eppu makes an effort to set aside his negative attitude towards life and instead observe things through a more positive lens. But sometimes he just can't help himself and succumbs to the allure of an intense cynicism.

Joona Kotilainen - Joona is a trivia nerd trapped in the body of a nearly two-meter-tall basketball player. His comedy starts with facts but quickly takes a swan dive into the absurd. Despite his lanky frame’s stiff body language, his storytelling flows effortlessly, delivering perfectly timed, nerdy laughs.

Preeti Jadhav - "Hi, I am a software engineer by day, and apparently a stand-up comedian for this evening. Doing my first stand up show ever and if this goes badly, I'm filing it as a bug. Please be patient... this is my first time going live."

Juhani Nevalainen - What do depression, disbelief in the future, and anxiety have in common? Juhani Nevalainen knows and tells... But don't worry, he is a musician, an artist who takes you on a soft journey safely and rhythmically. At Juhani's gigs, you have to admire his presence and sense of time, a master.
