Gullichsen often depicts the challenges of the human mind through nature. The naked human body in the middle of the forest looks natural and strange: soft skin against hard rock. He is interested in the contradiction between man and nature, Gullichsen tries to find a perfect harmony between himself and the raw forest environment. The Finnish archipelago is a neverending source of inspiration for him, and most of his work he created in the Porvoo archipelago.

Svante Gullichsen (b.1994) is a photographer living and working in Helsinki, Finland. He is an auto-didact artist. His works have been showcased in several group exhibitions, including at the Amos Anderson Art Museum in Helsinki and the Jyväskylä Art Museum, and at the Helsinki Photo Festival, he won the Best Photo Award 2019. His first solo exhibition was held at the Photography Centre Nykyaika in Tampere in 2021.

In 2022, he was selected for two exhibitions in Dresden at the Hellerau – European Centre for the Arts. He won the Hellerau portraits competition and the residency award.
