Intro to Shag and Balboa - Thursdays, 19.00 - 20.15

Learn to dance more swing dances! Collegiate shag is an energetic swing dance usually danced to up-tempo swing music. Taught by Tiia and Meri. Balboa (and Bal-swing) is another swing dance that can be danced blazingly fast or nice and slow. Famed for its close-hold position and small, intricate footwork, balboa is the favorite dance of your teachers, Sanna and Adam. This class is designed to be accessible for beginners, but will also be fun and useful for dancers of all levels. No experience necessary. No partner necessary. Partner rotation is expected. Please note that our classes are progressive, so if you drop in, our Groovy Moose gurus will do their best to make sure that you can fully participate. However, we do expect you to be at the right level for the class.
