Tilasta ei ole kiire pois. Ilta perustuu lempeisiin somaattisiin harjoituksiin, kontakti-improvisaatioon, musiikin kokonaisvaltaiseen kokemiseen ja aivojen tanssimiseen pellolle turvallisemmassa tilassa. Sinulla ei tarvitse olla kokemusta tanssista, kontakti-improvisaatiosta tai oikeastaan yhtään mistään osallistuaksesi. Sinun tulee kuitenkin lukea turvallisemman tilan säännöt tämän kuvauksen lopusta ja noudattaa niitä. DJ & VETÄJÄ Samee Haapa on näyttelijä FIA, tanssija ja dj, jolla on takanaan 20 vuoden ura sekä vaihtoehtoisten klubien ja reivien järjestämisestä että radikaalin nykytanssin opettajana ja tekijänä. Hän on aiemmin aloittanut mm. dj jamit, joita on järjestetty nyt jo kahdeksan vuotta sekä Sokkojamit, joita järjestetään sekä Helsingissä että Berliinissä. C O N T E M P O R A R Y R a V E Contemporary Rave is a combination of a rave, a dance class and consciousness dancing all over the walls. It’s a rave in a dance studio. It’s consensual touch, the best dance floor in the city and a rave for your 30 best friends that you just don’t know yet. The night has a precise structure, but you can arrive when you feel like it. Of course the night has been designed as a whole so you will get the most out of it if you journey through it in full. If you arrive later, please note that the beginning of the night is very delicate so do respect other dancers' experience when entering the space. If you arrive later, you also should carefully read the safety instructions in the door. B E G I N N I N G 20.30 – 21 Entering the space. Selecting the blindfolds. Your own tuning in before beginning together. D A R K N E S S 21 – 22.30 Dancing blindfolded. We will first go through the safety instructions. Then we'll begin dancing in silence, but play music after the quiet tuning in. This sensitizes you to the movement of others, touch and music. L I G H T 22.30 – 24 Dance with your eyes open. A second tuning in towards the rise of the energy. dj set also lifts the energy higher than in the dj jams. N E W W O R L D 00 – 00.30 Cooling down in the space without music. The night is based on gentle somatic exercises, contact improvisation, experiencing the music with your whole body and dancing your brain away in a safer space. You don’t need to have experience about dance, contact improvisation or basically about anything to take part. You do need to read the guidelines of a safer space at the end of this description and follow them. DJ & FACILITATOR Samee Haapa (they/them) is an actor FIA, dancer and a dj, who has 20 years of experience in organising alternative clubs and raves and teaching and making radical contemporary dance. They have previously started the dj jam which is now running its eighth year and Blindfold Jam organised in both Helsinki and Berlin.
