This year (2024) marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of Ehkä-production, a community dedicated to new dance and performance. Ehkä esseet (Ehkä Essays) publication celebrates the community's journey in the independent art field. Curated and edited by Even Minn and Anna Torkkel, the collection’s contributors include Aurora Ala-Hakula, Niko Hallikainen, Matias Loikala, Milka Luhtaniemi, and Anna Mustonen, along with Minn and Torkkel. The celebratory publication gives space to artists’ current questions about corporeality and performance while reflecting on Ehkä-production’s history. Tunneilla rentoutetaan ja huolletaan kehoa ja lihaksia muun muassa pitkäkestoisten venytysten ja hengitysten avulla. Tunnin aikana käydään lempeästi läpi vartalon eri osia ja lihasryhmiä yksinkertaisiin liikkeisiin ja asentoihin keskittyen. Harjoituksen jälkeen kehossa on rento ja hyvä olo. Rauhallinen tunti sopii kaikille kehonhuollosta kiinnostuneille. Kevään 2026 tunnit alkavat maanantaina 12.1. ja viimeinen tunti on 11.5. Kevätkaudella tunteja on yhteensä 15. Tunteja ei pidetä 16.2. Weekly body welfare classes for adults at Contemporary Art Space Kutomo are given by dance artists Kaisa Koulu and Anna Torkkel. The classes are based on relaxing and maintaining the body and muscles through different durational stretchings and breathing exercises, among other things. During the class, we gently go through different parts of the body and muscle groups, focusing on simple movements and positions. After exercise, the body feels relaxed and good. The calm class is suitable for everyone interested in body welfare. The spring 2026 classes start on Monday, 12.1. and the last class is on 11.5. There are a total of 15 classes in the spring season. There are no classes on 16.2. (winter vacation), 6.4. (Easter) and 4.5. (studio in other use). The main language of the class is Finnish.
