Tanssitaiteilijoiden Nelia Naumasen ja Nellie Björklundin teos The Heart Vol. 2 on esitys, joka ammentaa inspiraatiota paikoissa kaikuvista muistoista ja jäljistä. Teos kutsuu astumaan sisälle kuvitteelliseen jättiläissydämeen ja jakamaan hetken sen värähtelyssä.

Esitys on jatkoa The Heart Vol. 1 -teokselle (alkuperäisnimeltään Yours, chasing the sun), joka sai ensi-iltansa Tukholman taideyliopistossa vuonna 2022. Nykytaidetila Kutomolla nähtävä toinen osa syventää Naumasen ja Björklundin taiteellista tutkimusta siitä, miten tanssi voi luoda kohtaamisia ihmisten ja paikkojen välille sekä vahvistaa kuuluvuudentunnetta yhteisöihin.

Terms and conditions for the web shop

The Heart Vol. 2 by the dance artists Nelia Naumanen and Nellie Björklund is a performance inspired by the traces and memories that echo within a place. Together, we step inside a fictional giant heart, immersing ourselves in its pulsating warmth and sharing a moment within it.

Performance is a continuation of The Heart Vol. 1 (originally titled Yours, chasing the sun), which premiered at Stockholm University of the Arts in 2022. This second chapter which will be shown at Contemporary Art Space Kutomo in Turku deepens Naumanen and Björklund’s artistic research into how dance can create encounters between people and places, fostering a sense of belonging in communities.
