This small group walking tour is ideal for those who have just arrived in the city. We cover all the basics of Helsinki’s history and visit the main attractions which give you a feel for the city.

The tour covers places such as the Senate Square, the two main cathedrals, the Market Square, Esplanade, the Central Railway Station, the University of Helsinki as well as basic introductions to Helsinki’s architecture, Second World War, gastronomy, and culture.

If you are not sure which tour to start with, this is the one to go for as it will give you a solid foundation for the city and provides a lot more context for the other tours on offer.

This tour is about 3-4 hours long and is about 3km in total. The terrain is mostly flat with a couple of minor hills to climb, and the tour is suitable for all ages.

There is a 1 person minimum for this tour, maximum 10 people per group.
