Data Sovereignty for Developers

This course introduces data sovereignty from a technical architecture perspective. It focuses on how data location, cloud configurations, access control mechanisms, and cross-border flows influence compliance, portability, and long-term system resilience.

During the training, you will learn:

• How to map data storage, processing, replication, and backups
• How provider access models and jurisdiction affect legal exposure
• Architectural trade-offs between hyperscalers, EU providers, and multi-cloud strategies
• How APIs, AI services, and telemetry create hidden cross-border transfers
• Design patterns that improve portability and reduce lock-in

The session includes time for discussion at the end.
