Then this course is for you!
This course teaches you the basics of tap dancing.
Tap is a highly rhythmic solo dance born in America in a fusion of African and Irish folk dance traditions. Developed alongside jazz music.
You may have seen Tap in numerous (old) Hollywood movies, on Broadway, and even some animations (like Happy Feet).
Here at BPS we do the Tap mostly to the swing/jazz music from or inspired by 20-60s great jazz artists. So if you are into that, our courses will suit you better than well!
No previous experience whatsoever required!
We'll start from zero and grow step by step together.
We guarantee everyone learns to dance with us! So we offer a free re-take of beginners course as many times as needed.
You can do the first few weeks with just regular (hard-soled) shoes. But definitely tap shoes are a great investment. We have some pairs to try and borrow too.

Tap dancing is a highly rhythmical and percussive dance style. You've probably seen it in movies like Happy Feet, La La Land, and Singin' in the Rain.
Some famous dancers to know are The Copasetics, Bill ”Bojangles” Robinson, Jeni LeGon, Nicholas Brothers, Jimmy Slyde, Eleanor Powell, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Gregory Hines, and Savion Glover.
At BPS we mostly do the tap to swing/jazz music. So if you're into that, our course would suit you better than well!
