Tapahtuma ei korvaa minkäänlaista kurssia, koulutusta tai määrätietoista ja ohjattua jääkiipeilyn ja siihen liittyvien turvallisuustaitojen omaksumista tai riskien välttämisen osaamista. Alppikerho kannustaakin jokaista osallistujaa huolehtimaan omasta ja muiden osallistujien turvallisuudesta puuttumalla huomaamiinsa turvallisuudelle uhkaa aiheuttaviin riskeihin oman parhaan kykynsä mukaan.

Alppikerho is not responsible for participants' independent ice climbing, but everyone is responsible for their own activities. Everyone must have the necessary information, skills and equipment for proper and safe ice climbing, as well as insurance in order.

Ice climbing courses should be taken before starting ice climbing. The courses are offered by Vuoristoretket and Adventure Partners, and Alppikerho members get a discount on the prices of these courses.

Independence Day Ice Fest in Korouoma does not have a course and does not involve training. Alppikerho is not the service provider of the event, because no course, training, guidance, counseling or similar service, paid or free, will be offered on behalf of Alppikerho. The event does not replace any kind of course, training or specific and guided acquisition of ice climbing and related safety skills or knowledge of risk avoidance. Alppikerho encourages each participant to take care of their own safety and the safety of other participants by addressing the risks they notice that pose a threat to safety to the best of their ability.
