These sculptures are meant to be living (with plant) and ever-changing.

UDUMBARA green sculptures, made by hand and pottery wheel from wild, red clay from the small village of Kultela in Somero, Southwestern Finland.

The material gives the products a wonderfully rich earthy character. The porous nature of wild earthenware clay makes the sculpture chance with time. Part of its beauty is its patina, tendency to age as they weather and absorb mineral salts from the soil. The color will turn darker with time. By choosing this local raw material, Eva emphasizes the unique and ecological value of local clay.

We also pay a little extra for our electricity supplier, so they use solar power as much as our studio & kiln are using energy.
