A Mindful Escape:
Working with your hands and wild clay isn't just about creating beautiful planter pots; it's a journey into mindfulness and learning. At UDUMBARA, we offer you the chance to destress, unplug from the daily grind, and socialize with like-minded individuals. No prior experience is needed.
Craftsmanship and Sustainability:
But our commitment to sustainability goes beyond clay. UDUMBARA Pottery utilizes solar choice energy to power our studio and kiln, reducing the carbon footprint associated with pottery-making. Eva will encourage you to challenge yourself, fostering a deeper understanding of ethical and sustainable craftsmanship.
Letting Go and Embracing the Present:
Throwing on a pottery wheel is more than a craft; it's a mindful practice. It allows us to let go of expectations and attachments, freeing ourselves from judgment and perfectionism. We'll wedge and prepare plenty of clay to practice throwing, ensuring that everyone gets hands-on experience with Eva's expert guidance.
Your Connection to Finland:
When you work with Kultela wild clay, you're not just creating pottery but embracing 100% transparency, local materials, and a genuine piece of Finland. At UDUMBARA, you're not just a participant in a workshop; you're supporting ethical and environmentally conscious craftsmanship.
Refunds and Cancellations:
We kindly ask for your understanding regarding our refund and cancellation policies, designed to minimize administrative work. Please review our General Class Information before making a purchase.
Additional Workshop Tips:
The Journey of "Slow Design":
At UDUMBARA, we believe in the concept of "slow design." Our pottery kiln is fired only a few times per season, emphasizing the time and patience required when working with natural clay. We'll notify you when your planter pots are ready for pickup or shipment.
Unclaimed Pottery:
Please note that unclaimed pottery after four (4) months will no longer be held at our studio. These pots will be disposed of, returned to Kultela for recycling, or sold, with 100% of the proceeds donated to the Unicef "Empty Bowls" fund.
Thank you for taking the time to explore our workshop details. We're excited to welcome you to the UDUMBARA Pottery. If you have any questions or need additional information, please don't hesitate to reach out to Eva.
