💚 🇫🇮 Small piece of Finland. 🇫🇮 💚
A small piece of Finland for your table.
Each UDUMBARA chopstick rest is handmade in Helsinki from 100% Finnish Kultela wild clay. The clay comes from Kultela village in Somero, Finland.
The surface is finished using a traditional Ukrainian milk-firing technique. After firing, the pieces are treated with milk and heated again, creating a naturally smoky, warm and subtly varied surface – without conventional ceramic glaze.
Each piece is shaped and finished by hand, so small variations in form, surface and colour are part of its character. No two are exactly alike.
Designed to keep your chopsticks slightly raised from the table, these tiny ceramic pieces combine a simple everyday function with Finnish natural material and traditional craftsmanship.
